THE HISTORY OF CRYPTIC MAGAZINE

CRYPTIC MAGAZINE was born of comic creators and illustrators who loved everything about horror in general, they first created comics via publisher Dead Dog Comics, which published amazing horror based comics for more than 10 years, and is where the idea for CRYPTIC came from, the creative director Chazz DeMoss used all of the horror based publications of past present and future to base this amazing zine upon.

Seems the amazing illustrated horror shorts by some of the biggest names in the business just wasn't enough for this amazing retro styled, pop culture filled publication. With a love for other cool zines like CREEPY, EERIE, Vampirilla & Heavy Metal, CM sought to fill in the rest with elements like that found in favored publications like Famous Monsters of Filmland, Fangoria, Rue Morgue, Amazing Figure Modeler, Metal Edge, Rolling Stone, and more… we proceeded to choose a little of each type down to even of late custom choppers, horror based video games and even paranormal and cryptzoology topics.

If it is cool or creepy… it will somehow find its way into this publication. For the first few issues of CRYPTIC it road piggy back with the help of comic publisher (Dead Dog Comics) till Dead Dog decided to disassemble and close it's doors.
